Durian, a spiky fruit popular in Asia, is famous mostly because of its incredibly pungent odor. - Baking soda

- Bamboo charcoal

- Ground coffee

- Lemon

- Pandan leaf

1) Fill a bowl with baking soda and put it in the refrigerator. If preferred, fill two bowls with baking soda and set one bowl on top shelf and another bowl at the base shelf. Replace the baking soda every couple of days before the durian smell vanishes.

2) Put a couple of bits of bamboo charcoal or pandan leaves within the drawers of the refrigerator. Bamboo charcoal deodorizes and pandan leaves overpower the durian odor. It requires a few days for that charcoal to get rid of the smell.

3) Sprinkle some ground coffee right into a bowl and set it within the refrigerator. Coffee’s strong scent takes about 2 days to reduce the effects of durian odor.

4) Chop up a sizable lemon. Leave lemon wedges or peels on each shelf within the refrigerator. Other citrus fruits, for example lime and orange, act as well.
