Durian pancake recipe and instruction. Being revered as the king of all the tropical fruits, the durian is best eaten fresh. But there are also other dishes and desserts that the durian is best to feature including pancakes. The pancake recipe of the spiky and stinky splendour of durian is presented below.
The ingredients are as follows:
For the pancake wrapper:
- 6 teaspoons icing sugar
- 6 teaspoons tapioca flour
- 3 teaspoons plain flour
- 3 teaspoons butter (melted)
- 8 eggs (beaten)
- 190 mL water
As for the filling:
- 100 grams UHT cream (whipped)
- 200 grams durian flesh (whipped)
Instructions:
The sumptuous durian pancake is easy to prepare.
The pancake wrapper is prepared first. From the ingredients given, there are about 20 wrappers that can be prepared. First thing to do is to put the icing sugar, tapioca and the plain flour through a sieve and mix it into a bowl. In a low heat, melt the butter and allow its temperature first to cool and add it into the first prepared dry ingredients. Add the beaten eggs into the mixture. Add the water into the mixture and mix it well until the mixture smoothens. Pour the prepared mixture into a non-sticking frying pan and heat it up in a low heat until the pancake wrapper is cooked; that is when the pancake slightly curls up already, remove it from the heat and transfer it into a big plate.
Next thing to do is to spread out the pancake wrapper in a surface and add a tablespoon of whipped cream and a half tablespoon of durian paste on the wrappers edge. Wrapped it and chill in into the refrigerator.
