DURIAN ICE CREAM RECIPES#2 and INSTRUCTIONS


Durian ice creams are frozen dairy products with the durian fruit as their main ingredients or flavouring. Also known as the “king of all tropical fruits”, durian with its delicious taste though is normally eaten fresh, but it has become one of the favourite flavours in ice creams. With a very exquisite taste, the taste of the durian ice cream would definitely satisfy one’s wanting on the dessert (ice cream).

It would be a lot better that one knows how to prepare this world’s most sought-after durian ice cream. Presented below are the recipe and the stages and preparation instructions: (good for about 4 to 5 servings)

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 6 segments of the durian fruit (fresh or frozen).
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 2 egg yolks

Instructions

1. First thing to do is to remove the durian meat from its seed. If the durian use is frozen, be sure to thaw it completely.

2. Then mix the flesh into paste by using electric mixers. Over a medium heat, mix the milk, sugar and the cream. The moment the cream and the milk are mixed well and until it near boil already, reduce the heat and add the egg into this mixture.

3. Continuously stir the mixture and be sure to not let it boil in a low heat. Take out the mixture from the stove when there are already bubbles forming in the edge of the saucepan.

4. Let the custard cool. It could be stored in the freezer and stir in the durian paste several times or use an ice cream maker to have a better texture.  Store the durian ice cream in a freezer container with a lid that well fits.
